OUR DESIGN JOURNEY
“Ever since I was little, I’ve been mesmorized by the beautiful things in life, things that make you stop and stare: the way the winter sun gives the wild grass a golden coating, new life emerging in plants after the rain, the smell of fresh flowers, the soft, first light of the sun at dusk, a pretty dress, the way people bring out the best in each other and so much more.
Along with this I’ve always had a passion for people, to see them happy, whole and loved. This passion had me pursuing a career in psychology in my search for my calling. I completed my psychology honours degree and whilst gaining practical experience teaching at a Montessori elementary school, God started revealing to me that I can combine these two great loves in a way in which I can invest in people’s lives while simultaneously living out my creative purpose.
Shortly after I got married to the love of my life I started studying toward a diploma in interior design. With the support of my husband (Pierre) I resigned my job as an elementary teacher and together we trusted that God will open doors for us to combine Pierre’s entrepreneurial vision with my creative calling in a business. A business that we can run on Kingdom Principles and where we can be a vessel for Him.
In my journey I have realised the following about the world we live in: The problem isn’t that there is not enough beauty around us, the problem is that we don’t stop and take the time to notice it.”
